COFFEE PROJECT:

Deacons are buying Fellowship Coffee from the Presbyterian Coffee Project so that our after-worship fellowship has a three-fold purpose: our own church fellowship and mission giving to fair-trade coffee farmers around the world who use farming practices that also benefit the environment. If you have been in the habit of buying coffee to donate to the fellowship time, please refrain and instead donate the money you would spend to the fellowship coffee can. If you would be willing to help by donating to this very worthy cause, our coffee costs $32 every 6 weeks. Make checks payable to EPC and on the memo line please indicate fellowship coffee. If each family donated only once, we would have enough for about 6 years if coffee.

Note: Fellowship Coffee is now $8.00 per bag due to suppliers increase.

“And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

Matthew 10:42

Tent City #4 is presently located at Lake Washington United Methodist Church in Kirkland, WA. Since their recent move, there has been an urgency for the residents to have bus passes to get to jobs and/or job interviews. If you wish to help out, please give your check (made payable to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church earmarked "Tent City #4") to Joe Dechenne. Other needs of the residents are: paper cups, plates and bowls; plastic spoons & knives, coffee, sugar, creamer, laundry detergent & dryer sheets, zip-lock bags (quart & gallon sizes), hand sanitizer, latex gloves, chili and other canned main dishes, cereal and milk. These items can be placed in the Tent City #4 box in the church narthex.
